Prepare your visit
Paris Nord Villepinte is not Porte de Versailles. Put the actual venue address into your plan before choosing flights or accommodation. Group the brands you want to see by hall using the official exhibitor list. Put city showroom visits on a separate day or time block.
Where to stay
Coats, wet belongings and luggage affect winter comfort. An airport-area base may suit arrival or an early flight; a central base may serve evening plans. Neither is automatically best for everyone. Compare the actual hotel and transport conditions.

Choose your priority meetings rather than filling every moment.
Final checklist
Plan how to carry samples, catalogues and notes. Keep leaving the fair separate from airport formalities on the final day. Make outdoor sightseeing a short weather-dependent addition rather than the fixed core of a winter visit. Allow recovery after an intensive fair day.
Villepinte and a city design route are different visits
For Maison&Objet on 14–18 January 2027, record the fair’s actual location as Paris Nord Villepinte. If you see city design addresses or In The City announcements, verify their dates and admission separately. A shared brand family does not establish the same location, programme or ticket. The Paris Design Week archive explains a different address-based discovery format. For a business visit, check professional registration and access officially rather than assuming ordinary retail entry. Confirm that a supplier actually participates in this edition before travelling specifically to meet them.

Your project brief and winter journey
Bring dimensions, material priorities and open questions as well as inspiration pictures. Recording which sample belongs to which product and use avoids confusion at home. Ordering, shipping and installation conditions come from the written quotation, not simply the stand conversation. The professional fair guide offers a comparison and follow-up method. In January, avoid compressing flight arrival, check-in and the first appointment too tightly. Add possible delay, luggage and rest to the arrival plan; we cannot predict the exact weather this far ahead.
Following the impression a material leaves
January 2027’s “Sensory Shift” invites attention to design through the senses. A photograph of a surface and touching it where permitted can leave different impressions. Light, texture and actual use offer different questions about one object.
For a professional visit, keep dimensions, production time, care, order conditions and delivery in a consistent note format. Collecting samples is not the goal by itself; record why something suits a project. A buyer and a designer may seek different answers from the same piece.
The 14–18 January dates concern this Villepinte edition, not Design Week’s central Paris addresses. For an early winter business day, compare actual venue access and evening rest, not map distance alone.
Turn an inspiration board into a useful project file
The official January 2027 programme uses the theme “Sensory Shift”. For your visit, that can mean asking about experience as well as appearance: how a material feels, how light changes it and what use it was designed for. The same object may serve a hotel, shop and home differently. Alongside each photograph, record the product name and the project you connect it with.
Three files make the return easier
Keep inspiration, technical questions and commercial quotations distinct. Record why something interested you in the first, dimensions and maintenance questions in the second, quantities and delivery scope in the third. An appealing design then does not masquerade as a ready purchase decision. Compare overlapping hospitality needs with EquipHotel on equal terms, while city discovery can follow the address-based approach in the Design Week archive. The fair guide connects these files to follow-up.
Read older Paris alongside new design
On a day apart from sourcing meetings, you could explore objects and city history. Carnavalet’s stories of Paris through objects provides another frame. A commercial sample and a museum object serve different purposes, but considering both can enrich how you look.
