Keep a fixed ticket at the centre
For an indoor event such as Paris Photo, rain still affects the approach and waiting. An indoor destination does not guarantee a covered queue. Keep your admission time and move the long walk elsewhere. Before buying another paid backup, read the change conditions on the ticket you already hold.
Keep one manageable indoor option
To protect the budget, start with free collection options. Temporary exhibitions, closure days and booking rules may differ. Choosing one section rather than finishing a museum can keep a family day manageable. Use our network’s discovery guide for museum detail; here the aim is a day that fits together.

Plan for wet belongings too
If returning to the hotel means another journey, consider a small spare layer. Do not assume the venue accepts your umbrella or bag. The Salon du Chocolat cloakroom is not suitcase storage, for example. Settle the main luggage with your hotel’s storage arrangements and decide the evening return in advance.
| Your plan | Check first |
|---|---|
| With a fixed ticket | Protect the admission time first |
| With a flexible day | Choose one indoor stop and a break |
| With luggage | Do not assume a cloakroom stores suitcases |
